Description

This is an oval-shaped iron Tsuba from the Edo period, made by the Kinai school in Echizen province. It features an Inaho (ears of rice) Sukashi-Bori design, symbolizing wealth and plentiful harvest. The Tsuba comes with an NBTHK Hozon Certificate, issued in 1995, recognizing its historical and artistic value.
