This Tachi was made by the smith Yoshiaki (Adachi Yoshiaki) in February of Heisei 5 (1993). Adachi Yoshiaki, born in Tokyo in 1946, was a student of Sato Kanzan and later Sumitani Masamine, a Living National Treasure. He excelled in Bizen-den and won numerous awards at new sword exhibitions before his early passing.

We could not find an authenticity certificate on the seller’s listing. Japanese swords and fittings are normally papered by the NBTHK (or the NTHK).
