This katana by Gassan Sadakazu, dated January 1915, is a late-period masterpiece forged in the Sôshû tradition. It features a dense ko-itame jihada, an exuberant gunome-midare hamon, and intricate horimono carved by Sadakazu himself. Commissioned by Ishihara Rokurô and donated to Jôrokuji temple, it comes with a sayagaki by Gassan Sadatoshi authenticating it as a genuine masterpiece.
