This is a tanto by the modern smith Ozawa Masatoshi, whose real name was Ozawa Iwazo. Born in 1920 and passing in 1993 at age 73, he was a student of Miyaguchi Toshihiro and Tsukamoto Ikkan-sai Kimimasa. He was known for his flamboyant Choji Midare in the Bizen tradition, as well as Yamashiro and Soshu traditions. His son, Ozawa Hisao, continues the Masatoshi name.
