This tachi is a work by Isobe Ikkan-sai Mitsuhiro, a smith residing in Shizuoka Prefecture. He is known for creating pieces that capture the essence of the beloved sword 'Sohayanotsurugi' from Kunozan Toshogu, which he studied repeatedly. Mitsuhiro is a disciple of Ikkan-sai Tsunehisa, from the Miyaguchi Ikkan-sai Shigehisa lineage, who learned from Hamabe Jukaku and Ozaki Suketaka in the late Edo period.
