Description

Fuchi-kashira featuring a scene from The Tale of Genji (Aoi no Ue) by Kiyosada. Made in Sendai, Mutsu province during the Late Edo period. The shakudo ground is finished with a uniform stone texture, and delicate line drawings are applied with gold inlay.
