This tanto is a collaboration between the 24th and 25th generation Fujiwara Kanefusa, both recognized as Important Intangible Cultural Property Holders of Gifu Prefecture. It was forged in 1984 using iron sand from Saipan Island. The blade comes with a aogai mijin-nuri saya tanto koshirae and a kiribako (tomobako).
