This tsuba features a plum blossom motif seen through a window, expressed in a patterned style. It has a thick seppa-dai, tapering towards the mimi, which is a dotemimi with silver nunome-zogan in a yamaji pattern. The plum blossoms are rendered in gold and silver nunome-zogan, characteristic of the Kumagai school (also known as Edo Higo or Yotsuya Higo) from the late Edo period.

Without one, the attribution is the seller’s own assessment and has not been independently verified — treat it with caution and ask the dealer about certification before buying.
