Soshu Katana for Sale
The Soshu (Sagami) tradition represents the most revered school in Japanese swordmaking, centered in Kamakura and defined by the legendary Masamune and his students. Soshu blades are characterized by brilliant nie crystals, dramatic notare and hitatsura hamon, and kinsuji/sunagashi activity that creates a dazzling visual effect. The Soshu style revolutionized Japanese swordmaking in the Kamakura period and influenced every subsequent tradition. Genuine Soshu school katana are among the rarest and most valuable nihonto, with top examples ranked as National Treasures.
