This is a striking and complete Japanese samurai armor (gusoku) from the Edo period, featuring an elegant crescent-moon maedate, rich indigo lacing, and the Tokugawa mitsuba-aoi crest. The armor combines battlefield presence with refined ceremonial character, showcasing deep lacquer, gilt ornament, and beautifully balanced construction. It remains in excellent condition for its age, with minor wear consistent with antiquity.
