They served as the exclusive swordsmiths for the Kikuchi Clan and flourished throughout the Nanbokucho period. This blade is attributed to the Enju school. It features a wide and magnificent hira-zukuri sugata, a refined jigane with shirake-utsuri, and a gentle suguha hamon. It is a masterpiece that perfectly demonstrates the characteristic elegance of the Enju school, which inherited the traditions of the Rai school.
