This is a fine tanto by the modern master Horii Tanetsugu, made in 1979 in the style of Koto Bizen. It is a flawless and meticulously crafted blade, featuring a bright nioi-guchi and even distribution of ko-nie. The tanto is ranked at 1.5 million yen in the Toko Taikan and was made for Mr. Hisatsugu Aoki.
