This is a full suit of Japanese armor (gusoku) from the mid-Edo period, featuring a two-piece cuirass (nimai-do) laced with moegi-colored silk. The helmet is a 62-plate suji-bachi kabuto with a russet iron finish, adorned with a wooden, gold-lacquered maedate shaped like double horns. The armor also includes a russet iron menpo (face mask) with visible eyes, and comes with an armor box and command baton.
