Description

This is an unsigned tsuba from the Kyokinko school, active in Yamashiro province during the late Edo period. It features a design of two dragons and clouds, executed in sukidashi takabori (raised carving) on a shakudo nanako ground. The dragons are further embellished with gold iroe, making this a luxurious and impressive piece.
