This is a katana made by Kunitada (Komiya Kunitada) from Chikugo province, dated Heisei 11 (1999). It is suitable for iai and tameshigiri, featuring a black lacquered uchigatana koshirae. Kunitada is the eldest son of the renowned Showa-era smith Komiya Shiro Kunimitsu.

We could not find an authenticity certificate on the seller’s listing. Japanese swords and fittings are normally papered by the NBTHK (or the NTHK).
