Description

This is a pair of Menuki featuring a beetle design from the Edo period. Crafted from suaka migaki-ji (polished copper ground), the beetles are meticulously carved with varying shades of color, giving them a lifelike appearance. Every detail, from the head to the body and legs, is carefully rendered, making them seem as if they could move at any moment.
