This is an unsigned tanto in hirazukuri style, featuring a vibrant hitatsura hamon with muneyaki. The entire surface of the blade, both omote and ura, is covered in yakiba, leaving almost no hiraji visible. Believed to be from the Sue-Koto period, the blade shows some wear from polishing appropriate for its age, but the hamon is exceptional.
