This is a modern authentic Japanese sword (Showato Katana) signed by Noshu Jyu Kanetoshi, whose real name was Murayama Kinoichi. Forged in the early Showa period, Kanetoshi was a renowned Rikugun Jyumei Tosho, a title given by the Japanese military to skilled swordsmiths. While the blade is Gendaito, the koshirae (mountings) are antique, featuring a wisteria motif on the Fuchi-Kashira and an iron Tsuba possibly depicting a samurai helmet ornament.
