This modern katana was signed by Bugei Jyu Kanekuni in 1999, when he was 74 years old. Kanekuni was a distinguished modern Japanese swordsmith from Gifu prefecture, designated an intangible cultural asset in 2008 and a Mukansa swordsmith in 2006. The blade comes with a complete koshirae featuring a dragon theme.
