Description

This Katana was signed by Kaga no Kami Fujiwara Sadahiro, a smith from the Shimosaka school active in Echizen province during the mid-Edo period (Genroku Era, 1688-1704). The blade comes with a Tokubetsu Hozon Certificate from the NBTHK for both the blade and its koshirae. It features a paulownia and arabesque vine motif on the fuchi-kashira and a phoenix and paulownia design on the menuki, symbolizing good fortune and longevity.
