This outstanding katana is the work of the 2nd generation Kunishige, a student of Ichizô Kunishige, both known as Edo Mizuta. The blade features dazzling ô-itame and mokume-hada grain patterns, a thick suguha nioguchi with visible nie crystals, and a striking kaen-bôshi. It is signed with the full title of Kunishige's sensei, Yamashiro Daijô Minamoto Kunishige, and includes deeply spiritual gomabashi grooves.
