This is a rare Shin-Shinto katana by the 3rd generation Doi Shinryo, dated Meiwa 5 (1768). It features a well-forged jitetsu with a bright, clear suguha-cho hamon, characteristic of the Inoue Shinkai lineage. The blade comes with a Tokubetsu Hozon certificate and a complete uchigatana koshirae from the late Edo period.
