NihontoWatch特徴:雲州住鉄山藤原貞永は本名を小林力夫、小林家は18世紀後半から奥出雲地方で製鉄と刀鍛冶を営んでおり、1980年代から、3人の兄弟が中心となって、伝統的な刀鍛冶の技術を守り続けている。小林力夫(貞永)小林貞俊(貞法)、小林弘嗣(貞照)の3兄弟で父である小林大四郎(1903-1976)、通称「貞義」の指導の下、幼い頃から刀鍛冶を学んだ、父貞俊と弘嗣は1970年に、力夫は1972年に文化庁の刀匠免許を取得し、1982年と1983年に開催された日本美術刀剣保存協会主催の刀剣展では、3兄弟とも出品作が入選し注目を集めた。1999年に島根県は力夫と貞俊の兄弟を島根県指定無形文化財に認定した。

The twentieth century nearly killed the craft twice: wartime distortion, then the occupation ban. The NBTHK’s founding in 1948 and licensed forging from 1953 rebuilt the sword as an art, crowned by Living National Treasures and the mukansa rank.
