This is a katana made by Hiromitsu of Musashi province during the mid-Edo period, around the Genroku era (1688-1704). The blade has some minor forging flaws and scratches from old polishing, but is otherwise in good condition with a well-preserved temper line. It comes with a relatively recently made koshirae with period fittings, and a replacement scabbard.
