NihontoWatchThis is a katana made by Hizenkoku Yasunori in the Showa era. The blade is 69.8cm long and has a sori of 2.0cm. It is lightweight at 792g and suitable for iaido practice. The koshirae includes modern fittings, a black samegawa wrapped handle, and a black lacquer saya.

Shōwa to the present: destruction and revival
The twentieth century nearly killed the craft twice: wartime distortion, then the occupation ban. The NBTHK’s founding in 1948 and licensed forging from 1953 rebuilt the sword as an art, crowned by Living National Treasures and the mukansa rank.
