Description

An iron tsuba in a chrysanthemum-shaped form from the Edo period, featuring a Bukan Sukashi design rendered in ji-sukashi openwork and enhanced with fine kebori engraving. The Hayashi School flourished in Higo Province and is known for its sukashi tsuba with excellent patination. This tsuba comes with a Paulownia wood box and NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu certificate.
