Description

This is a kozuka (small knife handle) featuring a design of a towboat and compass, attributed to the Nara school. It is unsigned (mumei) and made of shakudo nanako ground with high relief carving, inlay, and an embedded compass. The piece has been certified as Tokubetsu Hozon by the NBTHK.
