This is a signed and dated Yoroi-doshi tanto by Ikansai Kanetora, dated to October of 1855. The blade features unokubi zukuri with iore mune, ko itame hada with ko mokume and masame, and a notare midare hamon. It is mounted in an en suite Higo School koshirae with Hosokawa mon.
