This is an armor-piercing tanto, signed by Ikansai Kanetora and dated October 1855. It features an unokubi zukuri blade with ko itame hada and a notare midare hamon. The tanto is mounted in a complete Higo koshirae, made of iron with gold and silver mon, and is in excellent condition despite some minor lacquer dings.
