Description

This tsuba features a chrysanthemum design in openwork, created in the Muromachi period. It is made of iron with brass inlay and has been designated as Hozon (preserved) by the NBTHK. The tsuba is a valuable piece showcasing the early techniques of Heianjo inlay.
