Description

This katana is signed by Tadamitsu, a renowned Bizen swordsmith from the Muromachi period, dated Bunki 2 (1502). It features a graceful form with a high koshi-zori and a modest chu-kissaki. The jihada is a tight itame mixed with mokume, showing dynamic chikei and a thick ji-nie, with a bright suguha hamon that exhibits ko-nie, yubashiri, and flowing nie-suji.
