This is an outstanding Nobuie tsuba featuring a Hyotan (Gourd) motif on an iron ground with kebori. It dates to the late Muromachi period (16th century) and comes from the esteemed collection of Mr. Nick Nakamura, having been published in the 17th Kokusai Tosogu Kai catalogue. The tsuba is accompanied by a custom kiri bako, a handmade silk bag, and a copy of the KTK publication.
