This katana is signed Kagemitsu and is believed to be by a smith of the Fujishima school in Kaga province, active from the Nanbokucho period through the Muromachi period. It features a deep sori and slender form with a well-forged itame-masame jigane and gunome hamon. The blade comes in a shirasaya with a gold-foiled habaki.
