This is a modern katana by the renowned swordsmith Hizen no Kuni Kanemoto (Motomura Kanesaku), active before and after WWII, who forged sacred treasure swords for Ise Jingu Shrine. The blade features a tightly forged ko-itame grain with a gunome hamon. It comes with a koshirae mounted with antique fittings, making it lightweight and well-balanced, ideal for iaido practice.
