Description

This is a refined Japanese tsuba made of shakudō, signed by Ōmi Yasumasa. Executed in the classical kinko tradition during the first half of the 20th century, it features a rich, deep black shakudō ground adorned with an abundant floral composition of chrysanthemum blossoms. The flowers are rendered in high relief using multi-metal iroe work, creating visual depth and contrast against the dark background.
