This is an authentic Yasukuni-tō by Yasumitsu, Chief Swordsmith of the Nihontō Tanrenkai at Yasukuni Shrine, forged in 1938. The blade features a finely forged ko-itame-hada and a refined chū-suguha with a tight nioiguchi. It is mounted in its original Early Type 98 Japanese Army Guntō Koshirae, which remains in excellent condition.
