This is a tsuba (sword guard) from the Kyokinko school, made of shakudo (a copper-gold alloy) with a hoshiami (dried net) sukashi (openwork) design. It features nikubori-jisukashi (carved openwork) and iroe (color inlay) with kakumimikoniku (square rim with slight meat). The tsuba is certified as Hozon Tosogu by the NBTHK.
