Description

This is a Shinshinto katana, unsigned but attributed to Katsuya Naohide, son of Naokatsu and grandson of Taikei Naotane. The blade features a well-forged ko-itame hada and a bright nie-based gunome-midare hamon. It comes with a koshirae including a round iron tsuba with pine tree openwork and an iron fuchikashira with a rabbit motif.
