Description

This is a katana by Yoshihira, a smith from Higashiyama, Yamashiro province, active during the mid-Edo period. His works are rare, especially katana, and are characterized by a unique reverse gunome midare hamon with ara-nie, kinsuji, and sunagashi. The blade comes with a koshirae featuring a shakudo ground with scattered katsumushi (victory insects).
