NihontoWatchNihontoWatch室町時代、鞍制作における最高位として知られる伊勢家、貞雅の作品。 伊勢家は室町時代の馬術家で大坪流馬術の開祖、大坪慶秀(のち入道して道禅) に学び,やがて独自の鞍鐙(くらとあぶみ)の製法を編み出し、室町幕府将軍家に抱えられた。元々室町幕府政所執事の家柄であり礼法に精通し、江戸幕府3代将軍徳川家光の時に貞丈の曾祖父伊勢貞衡(さだひら)が召し出されれ、以後徳川将軍家の旗本となり、伊勢家鞍鎧寸法判形等秘傳書を残すなど、有職故実研究の名家として名を馳せたことは広く知られている。古来、同家で制作された鞍は「作の鞍」と呼ぶなど別格の優品として各大名家において第一の名品と珍重され古今並ぶ物のない名品と称えられている。 本作の作者、本作は現存まれな同作の年紀作であり、その活躍期を確定することができる貴重な作である。同家の掟である沢瀉に燕印、丸に十字の焼き印を配し、最高級の素材と技術を用いて制作された上質な作で、愛好者、研究者垂涎の逸品である。 https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2021/the-samurai-japanese-arms-and-armour-2/a-fine-umiari-suikan-gura-riding-saddle-with
