Description

This is a wakizashi koshirae (mounting) with a black lacquered scabbard from the Edo period. It includes a tsunagi (wooden blade substitute) in the shape of a shinogi-zukuri wakizashi. The koshirae features shakudo nanako fuchi with mokko mon in gold, polished horn kashira, and suisen-zu menuki with gold iroe. The tsuba is a plain shakudo marugata.
