Description

This is a complete koshirae (mounting) for an uchigatana, featuring a vermilion lacquered scabbard. It was made around the late Heisei period using fittings from the late Edo period. The koshirae includes a wave rabbit and cross crest fuchi-kashira (unsigned, Ko-Kinko), bamboo tiger menuki (unsigned, Satsuma), and a bamboo tiger openwork tsuba (unsigned, Satsuma). It comes with multiple Hozon Tosogu certificates from the NBTHK.
