Description

This is an iron tsuba featuring an openwork design of a sideways crown with hanging streamers. It is signed by Ippu, a tsuba maker from Musashi province, known for this distinctive motif. The tsuba has both kozuka and kogai hitsu-ana, and is from the Edo period.
