Description

This antique Katana, forged by Nioh Masakiyo during the early Edo period (1661-1673), features a strong blade with a wide Mihaba and thick Kasane, characteristic of his work. It comes with a Koshirae mounting and has been appraised with an NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Certificate, confirming its authenticity and high artistic value. The sword's fittings include a Fuchi-Kashira with a horse motif and Menuki possibly depicting turtles or horses with saddles.
