Description

This is a Wakizashi by Yoshisuke of the Shimada school, active during the late Muromachi period around the Tenbun era. The blade features a substantial kasane with sakizori curvature and a bohi carving. It exhibits a fine ko-itame hada and a nie-deki gunome-midare hamon with abundant sunagashi and kinsuji, clearly demonstrating the Soshu tradition. The sword comes with both a shirasaya and a koshirae, and is certified NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token.
