This is a muscular katana by the renowned Showa-era swordsmith Chounsai Emura, known for his distinctive gunome-chôji-midare hamon in the Bizen tradition. The blade is ubu and signed, accompanied by two NBTHK Hozon certificates. It comes with a custom koshirae featuring Hirado school tsuba and Shônai school fuchi-kashira, both with NTHK-NPO Kanteisho and NBTHK Hozon respectively.
