Description

This is a mumei (unsigned) menuki attributed to Ko-Kinko, depicting two minogame (straw-cloaked turtles). Minogame are revered as symbols of longevity and good fortune, often paired with cranes. The two turtles are dynamically carved, facing each other with their heads together, symbolizing marital harmony and a wish for long life and prosperity. It comes with an NBTHK Hozon Tosogu certificate issued in 2011.
