This is a Hozon-certified wakizashi, unsigned but attributed to Kanenori of the Mino school's Nara branch, active in the late Muromachi period. It features a wide body with minimal difference between moto-haba and saki-haba, a thin kasane, and a gunome hamon mixed with pointed elements, characteristic of Mino work. The blade has a gold-plated habaki and comes with a new shirasaya, though it has some looseness.
