This is a katana by Moritoshi, a senior disciple of Chounsai Tsunatoshi and later Munetsugu Koyama, who served the Yoshikawa family of the Iwakuni domain. Dated Keio 2nd year (1866), it features a wide mihaba, extended kissaki, and a vibrant chouji-midare hamon with abundant nie, kinsuji, and sunagashi. It comes with a black wax painted uchigatana koshirae.
