This sword is light weight and has good balance so the best sword for Iaido. 「体配 style」 鎬造り庵棟、身幅重共尋常、鳥居反りで中峰。茎は生で筋違い鑢がかかり、茎尻は栗尻。 「彫物 carving」 片チリの棒樋がハバキ下に掻き流しと成る。 「地鉄 jigane」 板目肌が流れ地沸付く。 「刃紋 hamon」 刃文は高低差の有る丁子刃を焼き足が良く入り、帽子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。 「特徴 detailed」 筑州住光、本名は藤本光豊、福岡師県在住で、宗一門の刀匠です。宗勉刀匠の晩年は師を助け「宗勉 光」と銘を切った合作刀も見受けられます。また宗一門の研師としても研躍されています。 本作は、福岡県の研師が打ち下ろしの状態で所蔵していたものです。それを入手し研ぎ上げ拵を作った新作刀です。茎が少し錆ていますが、問題は有りません。 長寸で、重量軽くバランス良く、居合に最適の一振りです。 「拵 koshirae」 ハバキ(habaki) :銀無垢一重の腰祐乗。 鍔(tsuba) :鉄地記内龍。 縁頭(fuchikashira) :高波の図。 目貫(menuki) :龍の図。 コジリ(kojiri) :龍の図。 柄(tsuka) :鮫革は親粒が付き巻鮫、柄糸はスエード黒の諸捻り巻。 鞘(saya) :黒叩き塗り。 「刀身の状態 condition of blade」 研:研ぎ上げたばかりです。 傷:欠点に成るような傷は有りません。
