Description

This is a mumei wakizashi attributed to Naoe Shizu from the Nanbokucho period. It features a normal width and thickness with a shallow sori, and a large o-suriage kissaki. The jigane is a fine ko-itame mixed with ko-mokume, showing abundant ji-nie and chikei. The hamon is gunome-midare with togari-gokoro, small nie, and sunagashi, with the boshi running into the hamon. The blade comes with a shirasaya and is certified as Tokubetsu Hozon Token.
